Pismo Beach is a classic California beach town located 10-minutes south of San Luis Obispo. Pismo Beach offers visitors and locals a seemingly endless amount of recreational possibilities including surfing, kayaking, horseback and ATV riding, fine dining and shopping.
Pismo Beach is also home to one of the largest piers in California. The first wharf at Pismo was built in 1882, followed by a full-length pier built in 1924. After it suffered considerable storm damage, the pier was renovated again in 1985. The Pismo pier is the epicenter to a number of festivals throughout the year.
